10 Pins : Pinterest Inspiration
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I wanted to kick off the week with a post packed full of Pinterest inspiration. This is the second post in my “10 Pins” series and I really enjoy putting these together! Click through to see what has been inspiring me on Pinterest lately. From bathrooms and kitchens to closets and pet areas, I’ve been saving lots of goodness lately…
#1 // Colorful Books on Balanced Built-In
As you know, we’re adding built-ins to our One Room Challenge space and the above image is inspiring me to style the shelving with LOTS of colorful books. This time around, I’m planning to go heavier on the books with a few complimenting decor accessories. I typically go for the reverse, but I love the texture and color these books add. I especially like the black backed shelving and that feminine curved sofa! The sub crown moulding is also speaking to me in this one. Very pretty!
#2 // Cozy Minimal Villa
This villa is located in Puglia, Italy and you should definitely check out the full tour because it’s nothing short of incredible! It’s the perfect modern and minimal retreat that feels cozy and warm despite the rigid aesthetic. Anyone planning a getaway to Italy?
#3 // Simple Closet
I love the simplicity of this built-in closet. It’s neutral, balanced, and has a very organic feel. I’m also a fan of those herringbone hardwoods peeking out from beneath the rug. Did you notice how shiplap was used to add texture and interest to the upper shelving? Very clever!
#4 // Backyard Terrace
This entire house is stunning, but there is something about this terrace that has me smitten. From the cast fireplace surround to the oversized terra cotta planter filled with olive branches, this entire situation is dreamy. So many little details make this vignette feel very special and calming.
#4 // Cane Built-Ins
I love cane webbing on anything and everything. I want to incorporate it within a credenza or built-in someday. I especially enjoy the tone-on-tone look pictured above. Don’t get me started on that color palette… it’s perfection! Warm wood tones, burgundy & plum, soft blue, hunter green, and brass. The candle styling is also beautifully done.
#5 // Soft Greige Kitchen
This picture is the epitome of timeless. It’s classic, soft, sophisticated, and the millwork / cabinetry is so well crafted. I’m pretty sure that countertop is soapstone! You already know I’m a big fan of that.
#6 // Sophisticated Workspace
What a charming little office or workspace with the best city view! Things I’m admiring? The radiator cover, the antique furniture, the millwork, the grasscloth wallpaper, the art installation, and that insanely beautiful window treatment! There is SO much to appreciate in this space.
#7 // Bright Dining Room
This light and bright dining space has a very European vibe and I’m digging how the organic materials interact…. rattan, limestone, linen, wood, stoneware, and greenery. It’s a beautiful and balanced combination!
#8 // Black and White Bathroom
Another beautiful black ceiling! I wish I would’ve found this image before renovating our previous bathroom, because I really like the application of batten on the ceiling. The texture is really nice and this is how you do timeless subway tile, friends! I also really love the scalloped backsplash.
#9 // Laundry Room Dog Wash
This is making me want to renovate our laundry room ASAP. We’re definitely adding a dog wash and this is providing the very best inspiration. So classic, rich, and beautiful!
#10 // Green & Pink Kitchen Cabinetry
Lastly, this muted green cabinetry with pink shelving is doing it for me. It’s the perfect mix of sassy and sweet. The rustic wood tones play well with the glossy cabinetry and feels eclectic in the best way.
Did you discover anything new? I hope so! Pinterest continues to prove itself as an inspiring resource for me and a great way to uncover talented people and designers. I could spend hours browsing and it’s my favorite thing to do when wasting time traveling (on a flight, in the car, etc). Have a great week and a productive Monday, guys!
