February Moodboard

February Moodboard : Lavender - Room for TuesdayI have to say, I’m really digging Pantone’s Color of the Year. Although “ultra violet” is a little bright for my taste, I can appreciate the lilac hue that can be found in the undertone. This month, I’m feeling lots of muted lavenders and liliacs- they’re cheerful for February and have me craving the first signs of spring. Click through for a brand new Monthly Moodboard, my take on the color of the year, and my favorite finds this season!

01: wingback bed // 02: lavender hand wash // 03: vintage glass tumblers // 04: vintage ballet painting // 05: purple rug // 06: purple planter // 07: velvet pillows // 08: lilac napkins // 09: lacquered dresser // 10: lavender throw

I’m seriously into that area rug (#5), and you already know how I feel about purple barware (#3)- I shared this glam bar cabinet styling session earlier in the week that also boasts some of this color palette. If you’re not as bold, try adding a fancy hand wash (#2) to your vanity, or a throw (#10) to the foot of your bed. Even in smalls amounts, this spring color adds a pop of personality.

February Moodboard : Lavender - Room for TuesdayWhat do you guys think? Are into the purple hues this year, or are you still feeling pink? I’ve never been a blush or pink type of gal, so this is much more my speed.

  1. I have always been a purple lover…especially this muted lavender tone. So pretty!! For some reason, I can’t convince my husband to add purple tones but he’s ok with pink! Ha! I’m on the hunt now for some really dusty purple throw pillows for our spring living room.

    Also, that rug is everything!!

    1. Same!! Emmett is the opposite- he’s better with purple than pink. I think maybe it’s the blue undertone?

I absolutely love it! I wasn’t able to get on board with the blush either. This is gorgeous. I would do it I small amounts though

    1. Same! I’m just not a pink kind of gal. I’m glad I’m not the only one, Kari! xox

  3. I painted my living room walls lavender (a Martha Stewart color called Rosewater) about 5 years ago, and I still love it! Of course, my dressing room is pink…give me all the colors! Great pics, btw. I would not hate that rug in my house…

    1. It sounds beautiful! I’m also digging that rug! xox
