Feeling Inspired

Lately, things have been so busy with work, I haven’t had much time for the blog. Luckily, I’m taking a ski vacation in a couple weeks and after that- the blog schedule will resume! Here’s an update on what’s inspiring me, as well as some things to look forward to on Room for Tuesday.

-I’m feeling really energized by patterns lately…. in fact- I’ve created a Pinterest board for some of my favorites. A few of them have been influencing projects I’ve been working on. Isn’t the organic, inky one above gorgeous? It feels so soft and calming.

-Expect an art DIY on the blog soon. I’ve been inspired by graphic black and white large scale paintings. I’ll show you how to make an easy statement piece that will go with any color palette.

-I’m hoping to shoot the back entry to our house soon. It’s finally put together, here’s a peek from Instagram; pieces were slowly starting to fill the space at this point in time.

-Expect a collaboration with a blogger you all know and love! She’ll be shooting a tour of my house in the upcoming months.

-I’ll be featuring one of my favorite Chicago-based artists soon. We’ve been collaborating on two paintings. One is arriving today and I couldn’t be more excited. The best part? I love collaborating and promoting artists I am lucky to call my friends. We went to art school together, as well as studied art abroad in Italy. She’s so talented!
