Master Bedroom Planning

I’m in the process of ordering items and furniture for our master bedroom. Lately, I’ve been drawn to black, white, and cognac color palettes. We already have a matte black accent wall in our bedroom, and I just finished designing a warm cognac leather tufted bed for the space. Here’s a look at some images that have inspired me:

There’s something very aesthetically pleasing in the bold, high contrast color palette. Even though I’m seeing these colors pop up more frequently in the same space, I would like to challenge myself to make it appear fresh, while remaining seasonally appropriate. Black and cognac leather may be too heavy in spring and summer months, but bringing an equal amount of white into the space should provide balance. Here’s a look at some of the items I have ordered and others that I hope to order for my master bedroom:

  1. Hi there, I really love the painting of the woman you are using in your mood board for the bedroom. Can you tell me who the artist is? Thank you!

    1. Hi Isabel! Thank you. It’s not an original, but a hand finished impasto. It’s sold through a line we carry at the Interior Design firm I work with, and I believe the artist’s name is Fanny Nushka Moreauc. If you’re interested in purchasing send me an email: info@roomfortuesday.com. I believe the size is 23 x 31. Thanks for stopping by :)

  2. Love this! Love the bed, rug and colours. Cant wait to see the results!

    1. Thank you, Sarah! It’s slowly getting there. Hopefully it will ready to share soon :)

  3. Hi there,
