My New Kitchen Cart & Weekend Entertaining Essentials

My New Kitchen Cart & Weekend Entertaining - roomfortuesday.comHappy Friday, friends! I’m hanging onto the last bit of summer before welcoming fall with open arms. Emmett and I are entertaining this weekend and are having our friends & neighbors over for a Labor Day cookout, so I figured it would be fun to put together a little beverage station. I know I said I didn’t want a kitchen island (and that still holds true), but I thought a floating cart would be great for the kitchen, as well as the outdoor patio & grilling area. We entertain often, and I stumbled across an offer I couldn’t pass up. You won’t believe where the cart and its contents came from… and you certainly can’t beat the price point. Click through to read all about it, see my setup- and to shop some of my kitchen & entertaining essentials from Walmart Home.

My New Kitchen Cart & Weekend Entertaining - roomfortuesday.comIf you’re curious about the cart, it cost $89 and I spray painted it, then swapped the hardware to make it better fit my aesthetic. Check out that process on my Instagram story highlight, titled “cart makeover”. It was such a steal given the nice caster wheels, thick butcher block top, and classic shape. It looks SO much more expensive than it actually is.

My New Kitchen Cart & Weekend Entertaining - roomfortuesday.comI also found a table vase I couldn’t pass up. I’ve been wanting a modern Grecian vase with handles for the longest time and I finally found the perfect one. The scale is right, the shape is timeless, and I’m all about stuffing easy greenery into vessels like this throughout my home… especially if we’re expecting company!

My New Kitchen Cart & Weekend Entertaining - roomfortuesday.comBack to the cart… I filled it with glassware, lemonade, and cocktail supplies for guests. I’m planning to do the same thing this weekend, and when it’s not in use- we’ll have an extra surface to cut and prep on. You can cut directly on the butcher block. It just needs to be oiled every so often.

My New Kitchen Cart & Weekend Entertaining - roomfortuesday.comAs promised, I’m sharing the sources and my entertaining essentials from Walmart below! All of these are also budget friendly, so that’s a big win.

01: cook beautiful cookbook // 02: dining in cookbook // 03: glass pitcher // 04: kitchen towels // 05: ice molds // 06: terra cotta pitcher // 07: marble cutting board // 08: small jar // 09: tall jar // 10: white plates // 11: urn table vase // 12: kitchen cart // 13: knife set // 14: cocktail napkins

I’m telling you guys… this cart (#12) is SO good!! It’s really easy to customize too. The vase (#11) is my second favorite thing, followed by the kitchen towels (#4). The towels are a gorgeous color, nice & heavy, and they match my cabinets… I mean- how could I not love them? I feel like they were meant to live in my kitchen. There are different colors to choose from online, too!

My New Kitchen Cart & Weekend Entertaining - roomfortuesday.comHopefully you’re able to score some of my finds before they sell out. I’ve got another Walmart haul headed my way as we speak and I’ll be sharing those items next month. Stay tuned!

My New Kitchen Cart & Weekend Entertaining - roomfortuesday.comI hope you all have a wonderful and relaxing holiday weekend! We’re planning to get some work done, have a lot of fun hosting our favorite people, and just enjoy being in our house at this stage. It’s easy to get caught up on what comes next, the long renovation to-do list, and everything else… but I’m making it a point to appreciate just how great things currently are. It’s safe to say- we’re still loving it here! Happy weekend.

  1. My first thought on seeing the opening image was “Sarah’s holding on to summer!” 😁 The cart looks great; I noticed in your stories how substantial the butcher block seemed. Have an amazing long weekend! I’m checking out the Boise balloon festival “Night Glow”. Here’s to a break from all of our labor!🎉
