Noteworthy : Room for Tuesday Travels / roomfortuesday.comIf you’ve noticed I’ve been MIA on social media lately, it’s because we’re on a little family vacation. Emmett and I have been driving allllllll around Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio seeing our family for an extended 4th of July holiday. We’re about to pack up and head back home, but in the meantime- click through for inspiring links, an update on our kitchen, what I’m reading on the flight back, and more.

We’ve been on the go, go, go! Emmett and I have honestly spent almost as much time in the car driving to and from the homes of different family members so we can see everybody, as we have actually visiting. Sometimes that’s just the way it goes. We were lucky our friends at Mazda hooked us up with the new 2019 CX-5 Signature to drive around on our family vacay tour. I’m not even joking, we both want to trade a vehicle for one now. It is SO luxurious and the price point is fantastic. After sharing some stories on Instagram, it sounds like lots of you who own this car, really love it too. We’re convinced it would be a great SUV for us someday.

The kitchen is totally finished and we cooked one meal in it before we had to fly out. I’ll be sharing the reveal post on Monday (July 15th), so we’re less than one week away! I can’t wait for you guys to see it. I’ve never loved a room renovation more. I feel like I finally have my dream kitchen!

Speaking of kitchens, did you see the kitchen makeover my friend Julia did for the Fullmers? It turned out beautiful! They actually installed the same tile we have in our kitchen, but in white. I opted for gray since I was going for a moody, darker look.

I picked up this book for our flight home, after receiving some recommendations. You guys always have the best reads!

This Melbourne house tour made me happy… specifically the outdoor shower and breakfast nook. So unique and charming!

I shared this perfume on my stories a few weeks ago, and lots of you agreed it’s the best! I’ve been using it for about a year now, and it was seriously worth the splurge. I get so many scent compliments and the fragrance just puts me in a good mood.

Noteworthy : Room for Tuesday Travels / roomfortuesday.comSince we’re on the “good mood” topic… how hilarious is this GIANT swan raft? That was our other means of transportation, haha! It has a cooler, ladder, a pool in the middle, and more. My brother bought it for my mom as a joke and we ended up pulling it behind the boat one day. It was actually super fun and a great way to stay cool in the hot, heavy humidity in Kentucky. I basically spent an entire day in that thing, splashing around.

Is there anything better than white, airy bedding in the summertime? I think not! My mom had this pretty matelasse quilted coverlet on the bed in our room. I couldn’t believe the affordable price! She also had a couple of these poufs in the space. I was pretty impressed.

If you’re into travel AND design, this article might be really helpful. I definitely saved it for later. I swear it’s a bit more classy than our swan raft.

Alright, I’m outta here… we’re onto the next stop, on what Emmett and I have nicknamed our “homecoming tour”. See you all tomorrow! Have a wonderful day. -Sarah

  1. It sure looks like you guys are having the best time; if you have to spend so much time in a car, at least you got a sweet ride! I love vetiver, neroli and cedar…maybe I need to explore that perfume. That travel article led me to Kit Kemp! Her style is right up my alley. Enjoy the rest of your tour. Thanks for the inspiration.

    1. We had the best time, despite all the driving :) Hope you had an equally as amazing time in Arizona! Was Joe happy to see you?! xo

    2. PS. Kit Kemp is incredible- I just went down a rabbit hole of her images and design… SO GOOD! :) Thanks for sharing
