Sarah Gibson Room for TuesdayI’m headed out on a camping trip tonight, so we’re taking Thursday and Friday off from the blog. I fully intend to check out of civilization and leave my phone and technology at home! Isn’t that refreshing? Do you guys ever fast from social media? At first having no cell service makes me nervous or anxious because I’m not keeping up, but after a day off the grid- it’s so nice to enjoy and experience reality in the now. I think we could all benefit from disconnecting and recharging from time to time. I’m hoping to catch up with old friends, gain inspiration, and soak up as much sunshine and the outdoors as I’m able. But, before I sign off… I’ll leave you with some thoughts, fun links, and updates!

Kalyn and I had family photos taken last week by one of my college art school friends, Michelle. Most of them were candid- which I like best, but I’ll admit I absolutely HATE being in front of the camera and having my photo taken. Luckily, I’ve known Michelle and her husband for years and feel pretty comfortable acting goofy in front of them, but man- I am just not cut out for photoshoots on the other end of the camera. Why do you think Jacqueline models and drafts all of the fashion posts? Ha!

In other news, I can’t put down the book Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed. She’s the author of Wild… did you guys read that one? I liked it a lot. This book is basically an advice column, but it’s totally not the norm. It does give you all the feels, and will make you smile, laugh, cry, and certainly make you stop to think and analyze your own situation. I’m not quite finished reading, but I would highly recommend it!

Last week I shared my airbnb travel list and tips for finding cool places. This article features seven stylish eco-friendly airbnbs- it’s a really great roundup with lots of design inspiration.

I’ve decided that in my next house, I really want a Japanese soaking tub. Have you guys heard of these? They’re weird and amazing shaped. I think I like them because they’re different and a space saver. I went on a Pinterest binge, and started hoarding beautiful images of them.

This weather has me in the mood for kabobs and barbecue… 33 things to skewer.

I also wanted to thank you guys for the encouraging feedback yesterday. I’m so glad to hear that most of you like the content being produced on Room for Tuesday! I also appreciated your fantastic suggestions for new content and social media. I’m always amazed how this blog continues to provide me with the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people.

I’ll be back on Monday with the regular schedule and I have some fun posts planned (that might include a couple promo codes for you!!). Everyone have a good weekend and Happy Father’s Day to all the fab dads out there! xo
