Small Business Spotlight : Dressing Rooms Interiors
You guys know I love vintage furniture and home decor. It’s the best way to insert personality into your aesthetic, plus vintage items make the best conversation pieces in a home! Whether I’m shopping local thrift stores, online estate sales, Etsy, or browsing vintage goods from fellow designers, it’s always nice to expand my vintage resource list. I’ve discovered another awesome vintage source, located in Charlotte, but they ship everywhere! Today I wanted to highlight Dressing Rooms for my monthly Small Business Spotlight post because I’m super impressed with the curated vintage items Ariene carries. Click through for my favorites and some serious vintage inspiration to kick off the week!
Ariene obviously has a great eye for all things vintage. She has sold her curated collections on One Kings Lane, Chairish, and other popular design sites. She believes that collecting one-of-kind pieces requires good judgement, taste, and imagination… which I totally agree with! I love that mentality. She also says that growing up in a home infused with art & culture has greatly influenced her aesthetic and playful use of patterns and colors, which is totally evident to me. I’m digging the way she layers!
Ready to see my favorite pieces from Ariene’s shop? Use the numbered links at the bottom of the collage to shop…
01: large vintage paper mâché bowl // 02: black marine life print // 03: vintage convex mirror // 04: italian gold gilt tassel bench // 05: blush duka throw // 06: italian pottery vessels // 07: pair of wood mirrors // 08: black metal rams head floor lamp // 09: vintage italian marble tables // 10: vintage modern striped chair // 11: woven seagrass basket // 12: vintage faux bamboo greek key mirror // 13: modern brass floor lamp // 14: marcel breuer thonet ottomans
Aren’t these pieces beautiful? My favorites include the Italian tassel bench (#4), the tall mirrors (#7)– which would look amazing styled behind nightstands flanking a bed, the marble end tables (#9), and the pair of cantilever ottomans (#14)– which would be an awesome modern addition, flanking a fireplace or at the foot of a bed. Then again, you guys know I like my cantilever furniture.
One thing to note… they offer local pickup & delivery, but for everyone else- they use a variety of freight companies that offer white glove delivery- meaning you can get that gorgeous furniture delivered right to your door, even if you don’t live in North Carolina!
I feel like Ariene’s pricing is really fair for vintage furniture of this caliber. Be sure to check back often, as she constantly adds new vintage goods to her online store.
For more inspiration from Dressing Rooms Interiors, be sure to follow Ariene on Instagram! I love seeing her layered, styled vignettes pop into my feed. Aside from making purchases… following, liking, and engaging with small businesses on social media is an amazing way to show support- especially during this difficult time, given the pandemic.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this shop! Isn’t it incredible? I would love to visit and treasure hunt in person some day. Are there any other home or decor small businesses you know of, that I should spotlight next? I’m creating a big list and would love to add them! Let me know in the comment section below, and have an amazing week.
