Tuesday Made Lighting Collection
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I’ve got an exciting blog post to share with you today! I’ve highlighted many posts over the years on one of my favorite design topics: lighting. It’s one of those design elements that can really make or break a room, and there’s nothing I love more in a space (well maybe an antique piece), than a gorgeous light fixture. I think lighting is actually one of my stronger skills as a designer, and if you’ve ever wondered what fixtures I’d choose- you can now find a giant curated collection in the Tuesday Made shop! My goal for the shop has always been to provide friends and readers access to designer items, unique & handmade decor, as well as one-of-a-kind vintage goods. This feels like a big win for our little team and I’ve been really excited to share it with you. I wanted to roundup a handful of favorite fixtures in this post and announce our newest collection here first. Click through to check it out, and be sure to hop over to our shop site and scroll through them all…
It’s no secret that I’m passionate about lighting. As a designer, I’ve loved spending this past year researching, scrolling, chatting with lighting designers, and visiting showrooms to decide which fixtures I wanted to include in our shop. It was a big decision!
I think we landed on a beautifully curated collection filled with classic, timeless, and well-designed fixtures that are sure to withstand the test of time, proving their longevity.
I’ve vetted all these fixtures myself- I’ve seen each one in person, have many of them installed throughout my own home, and can attest to their aesthetic and quality. Aside from vintage rugs, I’m certain this is my second favorite collection in our shop! I’ve actually already ordered some new fixtures for our house that have me excited about upcoming projects. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Let’s dive in…
I thought I’d drop my top three picks from each category below, to give you a taste of what you can find in the shop, should you ever be in the market for lighting. We now offer the following fixture types:
- Pendants
- Flush Mounts
- Semi Flush Mounts
- Table Lamps
- Chandeliers
- Exterior Lighting
- Floor Lamps
- Picture Lights
- Sconces
- Lanterns
- Bath Lighting
You can click on each image to be redirected to that specific lighting category, if you’d like. Feel free to explore and click around!
You probably recognize the Lancaster lamp from sneak peeks of my home office I’ve shared, or the Holly picture lights installed on my living room built-ins- along with the Curves floor lamp in that same space. I might have splurged for the Windsor chandelier designed by Mark D. Sikes for our entryway. I love our Marcel chandelier, but the traditional shape of the Windsor just felt like it belonged in our home. Emmett is going to be thrilled to swap that (definitely joking, ha). It will still feel light and airy with the white plaster / gesso finish, but the shape better complements our architecture and aesthetic.
I get a LOT of lighting questions, and I always try to share my lighting design knowledge with those who ask. If you’d like to see more posts on this topic, I’ll link some previous posts from the archives below…
