Upholstered Headboards Under $300

My brother is getting married this October and he and his fiancé are going to be building their first home together since he works for a home builder. He recently asked me for some design help and of course I jumped at the opportunity! First up, he wanted help finding a budget-friendly headboard to go along with the bed frame he’ll be making. It inspired me to put together a roundup (including a few of the options I sent him) because let’s be honest…there are too many good ones not to share. Plus, who doesn’t love a good roundup of pretty upholstered headboards, all UNDER $300?!

I believe he landed on option 3 to go along with his DIY wooden bed frame and it looks great! I am already so excited to see it in their new space once it’s built. For the price he paid, it’s actually pretty decent quality too (which isn’t always the case). Since we already have an upholstered headboard in our master bedroom, I will keep dreaming for the day when we have a guest bedroom to complete. From this roundup I am also loving options 14, 18 and 20. Number 9 reminds me very much of the headboard Sarah just used in her brand new guest bedroom…it’s almost a perfect match.

Headboards really go a long way in making a bedroom look inviting. They anchor the space, add personality, and balance the bedside tables or nightstands. They’re pretty essential to the room. Luckily, as you can tell from above, there are plenty of amazing options that won’t break the bank.

  1. Hey I just bought #5 on amazon! It was like $114 bucks, not $133 like on this site! And it’s cute too!

    1. Thanks for the tip, Emily!! I’ll relink it. xo

  2. Hi,

I need a Queen size bed for my newly made house, where I have kept the color scheme light brown color for internal walls. The bed I’m looking for should have a big storage capacity. Please suggest some design in average budget. I’m a big fan of your work.
