RENOVATION MILESTONES…

I always share our renovation milestones in a timeline format. Despite the interesting year, it was still very busy over here. I always feel super accomplished after compiling this list! We usually end up doing much more than I think.

The Shed Reveal - roomfortuesday.com

I still have one room left to share with you that we finished this year… our guest bedroom! I’ll be photographing that space and sharing it after Christmas, here on the blog.

PERSONAL EVENTS…

2020 : Year in Review - roomfortuesday.comAside from a few safe, social distancing trips- like camping remotely and road tripping to the Oregon coast, we primarily stayed home, worked a lot, and tried to embrace this interesting year. We had some high highs and low lows this year, but despite the roller coaster that was 2020, I’m thankful for so many things.

One thing that took up a majority of our time and creativity this year was launching our shop, Tuesday Made. It has been such a joy, passion project, and pleasure to curate beautiful decor, home furnishings, and work with makers, artists, and small businesses around the world. I’ve loved connecting with you and creators in this new way. I’m truly grateful and excited for what’s to come as we are just beginning our journey with the store.

  1. Happy Solstice Monday! (and Great Conjunction!) You timed your goal-setting and reflection perfectly. I am constantly amazed at all that you accomplish. Choosing favorite posts from such a broad array would be challenging, but I definitely enjoy the discussion or opinion-sharing posts (10 Pins, controversial topics, designer eye training). I learn about you and other blog friends while I contemplate my own perspective. Of course, an awesome reveal is tough to beat! I do love your basement bathroom and that adorable office kitchenette! Etsy roundups, monthly moodboards…the list is endless! Always presented with professional writing, impeccable photography and a kind heart. And you still found time to start a whole new venture! Phew. Congratulations on a wonderful year and many heartfelt thanks for all of the inspiration, education and friendship! I wish you continued fabulousness!💜

    1. Yesss!! I’m so excited for that- I can’t wait to search the sky tonight :) It really is the best time to goal-set, reflect, and look toward a new chapter. I’m optimistic! I love that you enjoy those three series, especially. They’re my favorites as well and I can’t wait to share more of them in the year ahead. I truly appreciate your support, encouragement, and friendship, Peggi! It has been a fun year learning more about you, chatting design, and dogs. I hope you’re having a happy December with those cute fur babies of yours. Side note: a friend gifted me a subscription to Cheryl Strayed’s new email column (she resurrected the “Dear Sugar” series)… anyway- as I’m reading her incredible pieces, I always think… Peggi would be AMAZING at this. Maybe you need your own column or blog! I’m sure you have enough on your plate already, but reading your comments and writing is always the best. Just wanted to share. Have a great week! xo

  2. Well thanks to YOU for creating such incredible content! I’m a daily visitor and IG follower, and always enjoy what you’re sharing. Your posts are informative, thoughtful, creative, and interesting – all around awesome! And thank you for taking the extra time to engage with your readers, that’s going the extra mile for sure. You’ve accomplished a lot this year, wow! I knew this new home for you was gonna be chock full of amazing reader content possibilities, haha. Anyways, I too am so ready to jump into 2021, and that’s not just because it means we’re peeling out and burning up that dreadful parts of 2020…..but we should do that, for sure – massive bonfire / gasoline / stay back 15′ style. :)

    1. Thank you so much, Karen! That means the world to me. I have really enjoyed chatting with you this year, here on the blog :) I’m looking forward to some big house projects in 2021. Bring on a new year, a new chapter, and that BIG bonfire. I think you have the right idea, haha! Hope you’re having a wonderful holiday season. Thank you again!! xo

  3. These year in review posts are my favorite here on the blog! It’s inspiring how much you can accomplish as the days blend one into the other, and it’s always exciting to see which blog posts were the most loved. I find myself amazed every time when you post the timeline-how is it that the formal living room was only in January this year?? It feels like that was so long ago! There have been many accomplishments for you and Emmett this year, but I think Tuesday Made takes the cake, and I’m so happy for both of you still!
In a year that has challenged me in many ways personally, one of the things I have appreciated is the ability to come here each day for inspiration, discussion, and friendship; not just from you, but from this little family of blog friends. Chatting with you all every morning has benefited me in ways none of you really know, and it has been nice to have an external sense of “home” and belonging to ground me this year. Sarah thank you for your artful eye, your passion, and the endless inspiration you pour into us via your home. Your blog is impeccable, your style is timeless, and your heart shines through in all you do!! I’m excited to move into a new year and can’t wait to see what projects make the cut for 2021. I have been looking around our house and prioritizing what I’d like to accomplish this year, and hopefully it will be a productive year for the Lotus house. I know I’ll be starting the day here for constant fresh inspiration! Cheers Sarah! Cheers friends! This year would have been more difficult without all of you. I hope you all have a wonderful week as we look ahead to Christmas and a new year!

    1. I love these, too! It’s always fun to look back. I feel like the timing this year has been nuts. On one hand, the year went so slow. On the other hand, things went so quickly… how is it already Christmas?! While a strange year, I was surprised to see we had tackled so many projects. It felt like the living room was our big one, and that was it. Haha! Probably because that project took SO long and we ran into so many issues. Anyway, you’re right- it feels like a lifetime ago. We’re looking forward to growing Tuesday Made in the coming year- that has been a lot of fun for me. I appreciate your support, Lauren! That means so much. I can’t tell you how much your sentence means to me, “In a year that has challenged me in many ways personally, one of the things I have appreciated is the ability to come here each day for inspiration, discussion, and friendship; not just from you, but from this little family of blog friends.” I couldn’t agree more. I’m so thankful for our community here! Cheers to another year packed with inspiration, projects, and friendship. I know you’ll get lots accomplished to enjoy at Lotus house :) Happy holidays, my friend! xox
