Facebook Marketplace Finds : Detroit, MI
Happy Friday, friends! Today I’ve got a new Facebook Marketplace Finds post lined up for you. I had some requests to comb the Michigan marketplace from my previous post, so I decided to search Detroit this month! I found a variety of beautiful home goods, furniture, and light fixtures… lots of unexpected hidden gems. Even if you’re not located in MI, if you see something you like- be sure to save it. This will help refine your algorithm, which will result in serving you similar items in your local area. Click through to see what I dug up on FBMP this month…
Photo disclaimer… I pulled the following images directly from Facebook Marketplace, so the size and quality of some isn’t the best. Ready to see my finds?
Ethan Allen 3-Drawer Chest
This gorgeous Ethan Allen chest has a classic shape and stain color with the most beautiful hardware… aren’t those floral backplates fun? This was just listed a few days ago, and I’m guessing it will go fast! I’d offer the listing price at $375.

Gilded Stone Table
For $200, this classical side table has pretty fluted legs, gilded details, and what is listed as a marble top… though it may be serpentine (equally as gorgeous). Check out this post on the difference between natural stones, if you missed it! This would be great in a home office, living room, entryway, bedroom, and all sorts of spaces.

Antique Fireplace Surround
This antique wooden fireplace surround has lovely intricate details and a timeless shape. I love the hand carved ribbons and ionic column details. If you’re looking for a unique historic looking mantel, this one is ideal! It has been listed for quite awhile, so I bet you could offer less.

Large Antique Dresser & Mirror
I’m typically not into a matching set, but this dresser stopped me mid scroll! I love the details- especially the hardware, edge profile, and keyholes. You could always install the mirror elsewhere- or keep them together if that’s your preference. The price is really reasonable! This one will go quick.

New Ralph Lauren Chairs
Consider this the high-end wildcard of today’s roundup… new(?) Ralph Lauren Hither Hills upholstered armchairs with a gorgeous nailhead trim and brass capped feet. These retail for $5k each and the seller has them listed at $2k per chair or $8k for the set. If you’re looking for a splurge worthy investment, these are really awesome. I’d check the upholstery really well- the open one looks imperfect, which means you may be able to score a better deal.

Hekman Desk
Hekman Furniture is known for higher-end quality furniture and it’s made in Grand Rapids, MI- so I actually expected to find a lot of this. This desk is stunning and is the bargain of the day, listed at $100! Someone scoop up this traditional beauty and style a modern task lamp on top. What a perfect combo!

Visual Comfort Calais Chandelier
This large 34″ chandelier is a designer fixture from Visual Comfort… it’s called the Calais Chandelier and retails for around $4,200. It weighs 36 pounds and is absolutely incredible in person- the $2,700 listing price is a bargain, but it has been up for quite awhile. I’d offer $2k and see what happens. You never know!

Demilune Storage Table
The “project piece” of the post is a storage demilune table… isn’t it cute? It could use sanding and a fresh coat of stain, paint, or varnish, but it’s a classic piece and includes two drawers with timeless hardware. For $45, I’d snag this in a heartbeat!

Woven Settee and Table Pair
You know I love a woven set… this curvy wicker settee and matching table look unique and high-end! The pair is listed at $150 and I think they’ll go fast. These would be ideal for a living room, coastal home, screened in porch, sunroom, or window nook. They’d add color and texture to any room. I wish I were closer to grab these!

Project Chest of Drawers
Last, but not least… a four-drawer dresser. This chest needs some attention; probably sanded and stained with some minor repairs, but the shape is right and the price isn’t bad. It also appears to have a pull-out writing top, perfect for a bedside.
