We’re smack dab in the middle of the most festive season of the year, and with that comes a lot of planning. One thing that often goes forgotten or is put off until the last minute is planning the tabletop. I’m excited to share an easy holiday tablescape that looks great with any dining set. We recently revealed our dining room and I’m looking forward to getting as much use out of it this Christmas season as possible. What better time to open up your home to family and friends than during this wonderful, yet busy time of year? I say- the more parties the merrier! Click through to see how my table turned out…
Being a neutral lover at heart, it’s probably no surprise I kept my tablescape palette pretty consistent. Utilizing festive decor and accessories in golds, silvers, whites, and blacks prove to be the best investment. You can use these items throughout the year for other special occasions (see Sarah’s post on holiday decor that lasts through the New Year). I also love the addition of fresh greenery, as it compliments the other green tones we have in our dining space so well!
When setting the table for guests always be sure to balance aesthetics and functionality simultaneously. The center of the table is decorated, yet the guests still have plenty of room to dine in comfort without feeling too cluttered.
Candles are always a must in creating a cozy, holiday tablescape! The end result definitely feels warm and inviting- as it should. If you’re wondering how to bring this tablescape into your own home, here’s how to get the look:
01: stripe placemat // 02: pillar candle // 03: taper candle holder // 04: gold napkin rings // 05: great white salad plate // 06: great white dinner plate // 07: classic flatware set // 08: christmas garland // 09: vintage smoke glass highballs // 10: silvered glass hurricane // 11: white fringed napkins // 12: sheepskin // 13: antler figurine
How will you be adorning your table this holiday season? Do any of you plan on hosting holiday gatherings? Hopefully this lends a little inspiration if you’ll be the one hosting!
